Description
Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accounting Manager for an interim opportunity with our client. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the chart of accounts, including activating and deactivating accounts while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimal structure for financial reporting. This role requires hands-on experience with Lawson ERP and strong organizational and analytical skills to support the company’s accounting operations effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain, update, and oversee the chart of accounts, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and compliance requirements.
• Activate or deactivate accounts based on financial reporting requirements and policy changes.
• Regularly review and optimize the structure of the chart of accounts to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across departments.
• Leverage deep knowledge of Lawson ERP functionality to manage financial data within the system.
• Troubleshoot system issues related to account maintenance and collaboration with technical support teams for timely resolution.
• Assist in system upgrades, testing, and implementing enhancements related to account management charts.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on Lawson ERP best practices, specifically regarding chart of accounts updates and maintenance.
• Ensure all changes to the chart of accounts comply with organizational accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Develop and document procedures for account activation, deactivation, and other administrative actions to enhance governance.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years managing the chart of accounts.
• Proficiency in Lawson ERP is required, including experience in account administration and system workflows.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with acute attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate complex financial information effectively.
