    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist on a long-term contract basis in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. As part of a non-profit organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting operational needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Record monthly payments and invoices with precision and timeliness.

    • Input deposit entries and ensure data accuracy.

    • Reconcile accounts by comparing bank statements with internal records.

    • Oversee inventory management.

    • Respond to finance-related inquiries, providing excellent customer service to retirees.

    • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks efficiently.

    • Ensure all financial activities are handled with confidentiality and professionalism.

    • Maintain organized and accurate financial records to support organizational goals.

    Requirements

    • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is required.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related accounting role.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.

    • Strong customer service skills, particularly in handling inquiries.

    • Proficiency with learning new software systems.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation processes.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
