Job Description – Maintenance Technician Job Opening
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Full/Part Time: Full-Time
Salary: Start $25.19 per hour
Summary:
This position will support the Livingston, TN manufacturing facility as is responsible for maintaining all equipment for the facility including building maintenance. It involves exposure to machinery and chemicals; lifting materials and products up to 40 pounds; extensive use of hands and fingers, and/or maintaining a sedentary or stationary position for periods of time. Various locations in the building may be receptive to loud decibels of noise. The use of proper PPE is required at all times, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection and/or safety shoes.
Essential Functions
Perform routine and non-routine assigned projects as designated by Maintenance Coordinator. Display a safe orientation while performing job duties and tasks and when working with team members and operating equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks set up in EAM.
+ Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on all industrial equipment and facility systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using diagnostic equipment and PLC software.
+ Install and or modify new equipment or engineering changes to existing equipment.
+ Follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
+ Embrace the safety culture by working safely, following Management of Change (MOC) procedures and OSHA regulations, identifying, and resolving potential safety hazards and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
+ Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic expertise.
+ Provide emergency, scheduled and/or unscheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during production and/or on-call.
+ Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
+ Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments to mold presses and other machines and equipment.
+ Reference schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and machine tool testing procedures to perform required maintenance and service.
+ Maintain work orders, report logs, spreadsheets, and team improvement boards.
+ Use of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
Qualifications
•Associate degree or equivalent of 5-7 years’ experience- in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Electrical Technology, or a Certified Electrician certificate, or Industrial Maintenance Diploma
•Strong Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting skills
•Ability to read and use electrical and mechanical schematics
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment
•Effective communication skills
•Strong Computer skills with the ability to use email and Microsoft Office
•Prior experience with 3-phase 480-volt industrial circuitry
•Prior mechanical experience
•Must have basic mechanics tools
•PLC & Robotics experience a plus & ability to learn
