    Full-time position, 8.0 hours per day, 12 months per year

     

    + Serve as a trusted and confidential executive assistant to the Deputy Superintendent.

    + Manage and maintain calendars, including appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.

    + Draft, edit, and format correspondence, reports, memoranda, and presentations using sound judgment and knowledge of BOCES operations.

    + Prepare and compile monthly and annual reports, including statistical data.

    + Maintain current and historical data in multiple platforms and proficient in running reports in all platforms.

    + Screen incoming calls, emails, and visitors, prioritizing communications and handling routine inquiries professionally.

    + Coordinate meetings, including agenda preparation, materials distribution, and logistics.

    + Serve as a public-facing representative of the GST BOCES responding to inquiries with professionalism and clarity with a service mindset.

    + Prepare, update, and organize GST BOCES policies, procedures, and manuals.

    + Prepare notices and documents for hiring and exiting employees and support HR procedures and practices.

    + Assist in preparing necessary documents for Board of Education meetings.

    + Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned.

    Job Qualifications

    + Graduation from a N.Y.S. registered or regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of responsible office experience in a public agency or private business; or

    + Graduation from a NYS registered or regionally accredited two-year college with an Associate’s Degree and five (5) years of responsible office experience in a public agency or private business; or

    + Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and seven (7) years of responsible office experience in a public agency or private business; or

    + Any equivalent combination of experience and training as defined above

     

    SALARY RANGE: Salary is dependent upon related work experience. Plus comprehensive benefit package.
