    **Job Title:** AutoCAD Drafter

    **Location:** Wallingford, CT

    **Schedule:** Monday- Friday- 50 hours/week

    About the Role:

    A well-established precast concrete manufacturer in Wallingford, CT is currently seeking an **AutoCAD Drafter** to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in CAD drafting who’s looking to work on a wide range of structural and infrastructure projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Use AutoCAD to create detailed drawings for a variety of precast concrete products, including bridges, ramps, and related structures

    + Develop complete and accurate shop drawing sets with full annotation, dimensions, angles, weights, and volumes

    + Prepare plans, elevations, sections, and construction details based on conceptual sketches, profiles, and technical input

    + Ensure dimensional accuracy and consistency in all drawing components

    + Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to align with project requirements, timelines, and client expectations

    + Manage and update drawings in both Model Space and Paper Space, using appropriate layer management and X-referencing

    Qualifications:

    + 3–5 years of AutoCAD experience (AutoCAD 2013 or newer); less experience may be considered

    + Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, including viewport creation, scale management, layering, plotting, and basic drawing setup; 3D drafting experience is a plus

    + Solid understanding of drafting techniques and engineering terminology

    + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

    + Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work both independently and as part of a team
