Job Description
The Assistant Director, Member Recruitment at the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship is responsible for managing all aspects of new member recruitment including: lead generation, qualifying, cold calling, gaining access to decision makers, relationship building and signing companies as members of The Center. In addition, he/she will work as part of a cross functional team to engage current members more fully with The Center and initiate new revenue generating business with current members. This position is responsible for representing BCCCC to corporate audiences, identifying market needs of current and prospective members and broadening the audience for Center products.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $72,450 to $90,550; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years sales experience in relationship management specific to middle market and Fortune 1000 corporations; OR ~10 years equivalent combination of training and executive-level corporate services sales
experience.
Deep knowledge of the sales cycle and how to convert leads to prospects and
prospects to members
Passionate about knowledge sharing and continuous learning
Responsible for understanding all products and services of The Center with a focus on partnering with Center staff to meet overall Center revenue targets
Builds relationships between corporations and Center, both establishing relationships himself/herself or maximizing value from the relationships of other staff/member relationships
Candidate should be able to handle competing priorities and manage time efficiently, delivering high attention to detail and timely follow up.
• Fearless ability to cold call and secure appointments
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to maintain a workload of multiple
deliverables
• Must be a team player
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential;
ability to interact with senior level corporate clientele
• Commitment to the Center’s mission and ability to communicate that mission to
others
• Ability to build and maintain long term customer relationships and manage
multiple corporate accounts
• Ability to conduct market analysis of lead and prospect portfolios, identify target
markets, and design strategies to penetrate those markets
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• High comfort level with customer relationship databases and documenting
interactions (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM a plus)
• This position may travel as much as 25% of the year to attend our courses,
annual conference, and meet with current and prospective members.
