Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator, where you will play a vital role in the production of adhesive tapes for the automotive industry. Your expertise in setting up and operating production equipment will be crucial in monitoring and ensuring the efficiency of our production process.

Responsibilities

+ Load and remove cores and mini rolls efficiently.

+ Inspect and pack tape rolls with precision.

+ Adjust slitter knives at specified intervals using proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

+ Clean slitter knives each sharpening cycle using provided cleaner and PPE.

+ Prepare and seal cartons and stack them on pallets.

+ Follow Work Instructions verified to Product numbers meticulously.

+ Operate hydraulic electric lift pallet jacks safely.

+ Complete all paperwork and labeling for each box accurately.

+ Ensure accurate completion of quality system documents.

+ Adhere to all policies and procedures related to TS16949 standards.

+ Maintain safe work practices at all times.

+ Keep the Converting area organized and clean.

+ Demonstrate safe use of sharp tools.

+ Support 5S activities within the team.

+ Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in general labor tasks.

+ Experience in slitter and machine operating.

+ Knowledge of forklift operations.

+ Skill in packaging and general production.

+ Competence in packing, production, assembly, and machine operation.

+ Ability to perform inspections effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Manufacturing and production experience is highly sought after.

+ Forward-thinking attitude and willingness to learn new procedures.

Work Environment

The work environment is in a brand new facility, about 5-6 years old, featuring climate control and an extremely neat and organized space. The facility consists of two main departments: the coating department, where adhesive is applied to one side of the tape, and the slitter department, where larger rolls of tape are converted into smaller rolls using the slitter machine. As part of the team, you will inspect tapes and pack rolls in a structured and efficient manner.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROCK HILL, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
