Description
We are looking for a Park Maintenance Specialist to keep Three Oaks Community Park safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Prepares and maintains athletic fields and courts for safe play. Cleans public restrooms on a daily basis.
+ Empties waste receptacles and picks up litter on a daily basis.
+ Performs landscaping duties (mowing, pruning, weeding, watering, planting, etc.) as required.
+ Playground, Equipment, and Building inspections and maintenance. Unlocks/locks facilities at opening/closing time. Organizes daily duties and facilitates additional projects.
+ Safely operates hand tools and small equipment.
+ Safely maintains and operates mowers, tractors and utility vehicles. Handles cleaning supplies in an environmentally safe manner.
+ Detects improper functioning of equipment and performs basic maintenance on hand tools and/or small equipment.
+ Must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the general public in difficult situations.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, Licensing
+ Education: High School graduation or GED
+ Experience: Six months of maintenance or closely related experience.
+ First Aid and CPR training required within 6 months of hire or employment may end.
+ Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
Supplemental Information
+ Prefer knowledge of and experience with customer service
+ Ability to perform basic mathematical skills.
The workdays and hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
