Job Title: Plant Packaging Operator

Job Description

This position is responsible for the operation, packaging, and problem-solving efforts in a team environment within a manufacturing facility. The role includes maintaining the plant in accordance with Food Safety guidelines, forming boxes, packaging final products, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitization of equipment to company and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain the plant in accordance with Food Safety guidelines.

+ Form boxes and package final products.

+ Clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment to company and food safety standards.

+ Operate pallet jacks efficiently.

+ Manufacture, maintain, and process bulk dairy ingredients.

+ Utilize computerized systems to conduct ultra-filtration and evaporation processes.

+ Set up and operate equipment as required.

+ Lift and handle loads of 50+ pounds.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with packaging and production processes.

+ Knowledge of Food Processing and Sanitation standards.

+ Ability to operate machines and equipment effectively.

+ Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ GED or High School Diploma preferred.

+ 1 to 2 years of production/manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

+ Ability to read and comprehend detailed reports.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work in a GMP facility with running machines that process cream cheese. The culture promotes teamwork and collaboration. Employees are paired with processors to work together effectively. The dress code includes long pants, t-shirts, and steel-toed shoes. Employees receive a uniform with their name on it.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46634.00 - $50794.00/yr.
