Aerotek is currently recruiting for FAA licensed Aircraft Technicians to work on-site in Chicago, IL at O'Hare International Airport.

Job Description

As an Aircraft Technician, you will perform line maintenance at ORD for major carriers, working on Airbuses, 747s, and CRJs. Your role involves performing on-call and scheduled line maintenance on various customers' aircraft, ensuring routine maintenance and airworthiness releases to return aircraft to service.

Responsibilities

+ Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components to meet deadlines and performance goals.

+ Troubleshoot systems, disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to ensure equipment functions fully according to approved technical data.

+ Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FARs and air carrier/manufacturer manuals, documenting all work performed properly.

+ Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned.

+ Collaborate and communicate effectively with the air carrier’s maintenance control center.

Qualifications

+ 6+ months of aircraft maintenance experience

+ FAA A&P License.

+ Driver License.

+ Ownership of tools (tool list available).

Work Environment

You will primarily work outside, with a vehicle provided to drive to each aircraft for maintenance. Initially, training will be conducted as part of a team, transitioning to independent work once fully trained. The position requires overnight shifts, offering 4-day shifts of 10 hours or 3-day shifts of 12.5 hours, with overtime available.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
