    Sheet Metal Assembler

    **Location:** Everett, WA

    **Shift:** 6:00AM - 4:30PM, M-Th, Overtime on Friday

    **Pay:** $26-32/hr, depending on experience.

    Job Description

    Aerotek is hiring experienced **Sheet Metal Assemblers** for a long-term opportunity in a fast-paced construction-type environment. This role involves hands-on work assembling structural metal building panels using a variety of tools and equipment. Ideal candidates will have experience in roofing, carpentry, mechanical assembly, or general trades and are looking to grow their career in a stable, high-demand field.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble structural metal building panels in a manufacturing setting.

    + Operate hand and power tools effectively.

    + Use measuring devices, including squares and tape measures, with precision.

    + Participate in safe material handling and suspended load movements.

    + Follow instructions and execute assigned duties diligently.

    + Complete tasks within set timeframes to ensure goals are met.

    + Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

    + Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with sheet metal fabrication, repair, assembly, installation, and cutting.

    + High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational degree.

    + 2+ years of experience in general trade skills for siding, roofing, metalworking, or assembly.

    + Ability to select and operate the proper tools for tasks.

    + Skillful operation of non-specialized shop equipment.

    + Ability to read blueprints is highly desirable.

    + Proficiency in reading tape measures down to 1/16th inch.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Small part/electrical assemblers with industrial assembly experience preferred.

    + Candidates must have a positive attitude.

    + Full range of mobility in the upper and lower body, able to reach overhead and work in various positions.

    + Capability to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

    + Able to lift, pull, and push material and equipment to complete assigned tasks, with a lifting requirement of 70 pounds.

    Work Environment

     

    You will be working in an open-air building exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. Collaborate in a team of 2-3 people. The work schedule includes overtime based on performance with specific hours on Fridays from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
