Office of Conservation – Environmental Division
The Environmental Division is responsible for implementing the ground water management program, the water well programs for driller licensing, well registration and enforcement (construction and plugging standards), and the exploration and production waste (E & P waste) program for off-site (commercial) management of E & P waste. The division also manages all settlement and court related activity for litigation pertaining to site evaluation or remediation, and serves as technical support to other divisions for matters involving ground water impact resulting from E & P waste sources.
This position provides support to the Groundwater Resources Program in administrative tasks, such as data entry, scanning, and digitalization of water well records.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Computer Literacy: The ability to quickly and efficiently navigate a computer and the software associated. Including but not limited to Printer/Scanner combos, Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe. Previous knowledge of large-scale scanning software and equipment is preferred.
+ Technical Adaptation: Ability to learn new technology quickly and troubleshoot as issues arise.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Scanning of the water well registration file and other associated paper documents.
+ Data entry of water well registration information into the SONRIS system.
+ Tracking and reporting of various data entries.
+ Assisting Ground Water Staff with the proctoring of licensing exams and advisory meetings.
+ Additional responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.
Position Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This vacancy is being announced as a part-time classified WAE and is open to all qualified applicants.
NOTE: This part-time position is not eligible for benefits or paid holidays, and has a limit to the number of hours worked (maximum of 1245 hours) in a 12 month period, beginning with the first day of employment. The hours belong to the employee and any available hours follow the employee.
Career Progression:This position does not participate in a career progression group.
Compensation:The hourly wage for this position ranges from $12.03 to $20.61, based on experience
