**Job Title:** Application Engineer I

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

+ Read and identify mechanical equipment on floor plans.

+ The ability to identify mechanical equipment on drawings the following: Chillers, Boilers, Pumps, AHU’s, FCU’s, VAV’s, and EF’s.

+ Understand basic electrical control circuits including 24VAC power and controller input/outputs.

+ Be proficient and utilize Visio and or AutoCAD.

+ Understand simple controls networking principles.

+ Display knowledge of controls hardware

+ Create P&ID’s based on contract drawings P&ID’s

+ Develop controls submittals with assistance from senior level application engineers.

+ Understand simple installation methods.

+ Ability to implementation systems graphics per project scope

+ Create guidelines, standards and templates for typical projects.

+ Basic knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) requirements for control system installations.

**Job Specifications** (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.

+ 2+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in applications engineering preferred.

+ Engineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.

+ Working knowledge of at least one HVAC controls systems (preferably Delta, JCI or Andover)

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Experience with control system architecture design, programing, or maintenance desired.

+ EIT or desire to obtain a PE license a plus.

**Compensation Range:** $32 - $42 per hour
