    Job Summary and Essential Job Duties:

    The Optimax Program Manager (PM) is responsible for leading and managing optical systems programs to deliver the agreed scope within planned quality, time and cost parameters to satisfy the specified requirements and drive for customer and stakeholder satisfaction throughout the program life cycle. The programs will be focused on new optical product introductions for the Space, Semiconductor and Defense industries. The program manager will be responsible for adherence to Optimax policies, processes, and methodologies.

    The Program Manager responsibilities include:

    + Daily program management throughout the program life cycle;

    + Lead multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure smooth project execution

    + Defining the program requirements and governance (controls), managing scope and deliverables.

    + Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and milestones. Track progress against these plans.

    + Identify potential risks early in the project lifecycle and develop strategies to mitigate them.

    + Coordinating the projects that make up the program and their interdependencies; at times, this may include managing subcontractors and their associated contracts, budgets, and deliverables

    + Managing the main program documentations such as the program initiation document, systems requirements review, preliminary and/or critical design reviews, AI&T readiness reviews, and end item data packages.

    + Work with quality assurance teams to address technical and product quality issues promptly

    + Act as the main point of contact between customers, internal teams, and upper management.

    + Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly.

    + Manage customer expectations and maintain strong customer relationships

    Education Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Optical, Imaging Science, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (other engineering disciplines will be considered)

    Minimum Requirements:

    + 5-10 years of experience in project management including planning, execution, and monitoring is required

    + Proven ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams, manage conflicts, and ensure effective collaboration

    + Strong technical background in optical or aerospace engineering, including understanding of engineering principles, typical lifecycle for aerospace programs, and familiarity with aerospace industry standards

    + Ability to manage and track project requirements, ensuring they are clearly defined, documented, and met

    + Understanding of project budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

    + Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

    + Ability and interest to learn new disciplines, skills, and processes

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Other Skills and Experience:

    + Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings

    + Familiarity with optical manufacturing techniques and processes is beneficial

    Work Requirements:

    Physical Demands:

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch: and talk and hear.

    + The job may involve prolong periods of sitting/standing.

    Work Environment:

    + This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level can vary from quiet to loud frequencies.

    + Prolonged periods sitting at a desk on a computer.

    + Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
