Position Summary:
As the Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our operational processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing various aspects of the manufacturing operations to drive productivity and customer satisfaction.
You will learn all aspects of our precast concrete business working with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, quality control, logistics, finance and production. This is a highly visible position with a great opportunity to build your skills. Lakelands Concrete will provide training.
Key Responsibilities:

Operations Support
• Oversee and manage the production scheduling to ensure timely and efficient workflow.
• Publish production data accurately and in a timely manner to maintain up-to-date records.
• Administer the purchasing process, ensuring best practices are followed and materials are procured efficiently.
• Develop and implement written process documentation for assigned work tasks.
Customer Service
• Providing top-tier customer service to internal teams, ensuring transparency and clear communication of the production schedule are a top priority.
• Serve as a back-up for sales representatives regarding customer inquiries and issues, resulting in prompt and effective resolution.
Vendor Engagement
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to deliver quality, cost effective procurement.
• Implement and manage vendor engagement strategies to drive partnership and performance.
• All other duties as assigned.

Work environment:
• Duties are performed in an office and industrial manufacturing environment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Physical demands
• The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
• The employee is required to sit, stand, or kneel.
• The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Required education and experience
+ 3+ years of experience in operations coordination, project management or other related role, preferably in a manufacturing or construction organization.
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations/project management, or another related program. Experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.
+ Strong organizational and communication skills
+ Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite
+ Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Preferred education and experience
+ Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software is a plus.
