IT SPECIALIST AT PRIMEFLIGHT
The IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the airport's information technology systems and infrastructure. This role includes providing technical support to users, managing network and server operations, and ensuring system security and data integrity. The IT Specialist also participates in the implementation of new IT solutions and upgrades and provides training and guidance to staff on IT-related matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure IT systems align with the operational needs of the airport and adhere to industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively
+ Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems, including connectivity issues, software glitches, and hardware malfunctions
+ Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network equipment to ensure optimal performance
+ Collaborate with the IT team to implement software updates, patches, and security measures to protect against cyber threats
+ Monitor network infrastructure for performance and security, identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities
+ Assist in the deployment and maintenance of company-wide software applications, including email, productivity tools, and specialized software
+ Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security settings to safeguard data and maintain compliance
+ Conduct regular backups of critical data and develop disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity
+ Provide technical guidance and training to end-users on software and hardware usage, best practices, and security protocols
+ Procure and inventory IT equipment and supplies, tracking assets and maintaining an organized equipment repository
+ Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and coordinate repairs or replacements
+ Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations
+ Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to make recommendations for improving IT infrastructure
+ Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies regarding data security and privacy
+ Participate in the development and maintenance of IT policies, procedures, and documentation
+ Support remote and on-site users, including those at multiple airport locations, and provide remote assistance as needed
+ Conduct regular system and network performance analysis to optimize IT resources and infrastructure
+ Collaborate with the IT team to implement cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems
+ Assist in the resolution of IT-related audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed
+ Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with internal clients and external partners
+ Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
+ 18 years of age or older
+ Eligible to work in the United States
+ Ability to work in office, onsite, Monday-Friday
+ Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
+ Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
+ 2 years in IT support, network administration, and system maintenance
+ Knowledge of current IT technologies, software, and security practices
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
+ Excellent communication and customer service skills
+ Ability to work in a team and independently
+ Willingness to be on-call for emergencies and provide after-hours support
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
+ Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
+ Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
+ Pass a background check and drug screen
+ Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support our field operations

+ Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
