    In this role, you’ll provide high-level guidance and direction to clinic managers and staff, while collaborating with University leadership to shape and execute the strategic vision for the Des Moines University Clinic and Wellness programs across multiple sites and business models.     What you’ll do:

    + Develop, implement, approve, and continually evaluate clinic policies and procedures.

    + Maintain overall accountability for operational budgets.

    + Monitor compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

    + Build and scale high-performance operations within a multi-site and multi-business model health and wellness divisions.

    + Oversee and lead all operations, including customer experience, practice management, supply chain, network management, and clinical and business operations.

    + Set vision and direction for Wellness program to deliver on the 8 dimensions of wellness for internal and external stakeholders.

    + Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with key vendors, payers, and partners including risk based, accountable care, capitated, quality incentive, and fee for service payer contracts.

    + Lead and continuously improve the service experience for DMU Clinic’s patients and customers, spanning all interactions from transactional to clinical.

    + Model and cultivate a culture of excellence, trust, accountability, and continuous innovation.

    + Recruit, supervise and direct all wellness and clinic staff, including providers without a faculty appointment, to support efficient and effective clinic operations and wellness programming. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the DMU’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; approval of salary recommendations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    What we are looking for:

    + Minimum of Master's degree in Health Care Administration or related field.

    + Ten (10) years’ experience managing within a multi-disciplinary clinic/practice environment required.

    + Experience with medical practice billing and coding, insurance contracting, and electronic health records required.

    + Seven (7) years’ supervisory experience required.

    + Three (3) years’ experience developing and managing revenue budgets and performance, Five (5) years developing and managing and expense budgets required.

    + Knowledge of applicable compliance issues, such as Medicare, Medicaid and commercial billing requirements, OSHA regulations, MSDS, blood-borne pathogens, etc.

    + Three (3) years’ experience managing capitated, risk based shared savings, and/or quality payment arrangement.

    + Knowledge of quality improvement and project planning/management techniques.
