    This position is for an experienced Value Stream / Program Management professional who will lead key programs and projects for Military and Rotorcraft (M&R) customers of our Power Transmission Systems (PTS) products. This role will lead Program Management Teams (PMTs), recommend resolutions for medium to complex program topics, maintain internal / external progress reports, and be the main face to the customer representing Collins. Candidate must be detail oriented, possess critical thinking skills to provide recommendations that are in alignment with the organization’s strategy and goals, and be organizationally savvy to influence and achieve goals in a heavily matrixed structure.

     

    Position is remote eligible, **but significant travel (~50%) to Rome, NY facility will be required** .

    What You Will Do

    + Responsible for Profit and Loss of large program and project value streams in sustaining (existing production) and new development activities

    + Leads risk and opportunity management for programs in production

    + Participates in coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests

    + Leads large programs to support the development of program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility

    + Establishes key performance indicators and directs work to achieve these targets

    + Analyzes data and monitors programs to ensure adherence to cost, schedule and technical specifications

    + Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s) to Senior Leadership and Customers

    + Implements continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality, specifically utilizing CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), lean, or six sigma methodology

    + Identifies and addresses program problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful performance of programs in production including field service safety issues, customer satisfaction issues, obsolescence, work transfers, improvements for capacity, and supplier requests

    + Leads program work with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with the customer program objectives supporting development phase and then owning the production phase

    + Directs program phases from proposal development through completion (sunsetting) of program

    + Interfaces with customers for program requirements to ensure successful completion

    + Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs

    + 50% Travel, to Rome, NY primarily

    Qualifications You Must Have

    + Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

    Qualifications We Prefer

    + Negotiation and change management experience.

    + Manufacturing life cycle, RLPM processes

    + Continuous Improvement - Lean manufacturing/six sigma/ACE/CORE

    + Project Management

    + MS Project

    + Customer Management

    + PMP Certification or equivalent

    The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
