Required Skills:

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

1. Manage engineers working with the engineering teams to build products and/or infrastructure required to support the products at scale.

2. Make sure that the technology stack handles the needs of the product and is flexible enough to scale as requirements change and usage increases.

3. Understand technical architectures, tooling needs, automation plans, product launch plans, and other issues and create comprehensive plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges.

4. Communicate cross-functionality and provide constructive feedback into how the product is designed and help craft solutions to difficult user experience and system integrations problems.

5. Hold technical discussions within organization and have strategic influence.

6. Drive engineering efforts and balance the need to "keep things running" with allocating time to long-term, high-impact projects.

7. Mentor engineers on team and recruit and hire engineers.

8. Play a critical role in helping to set the goals and direction for team.

9. Number of direct reports may vary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires 5 years of experience in the following:

11. 1. Management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project manager

12. 2. Building products including front end technologies or backend systems

13. 3. Designing and developing distributed systems, storage systems, or cache and data distribution infrastructure

14. 4. Scaling high performance, high throughput systems

15. 5. Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systems

16. 6. Coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams

17. 7. Developing and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisions

18. 8. Leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth

Public Compensation:

$274,625/year to $290,180/year + bonus + equity + benefits
