**Position Purpose:** With the Centene Corporate Health Plan Accounting team, you will be responsible for multiple accounting functions including: paying claims, accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintaining daily & monthly bank accounts & cash balances, reconciling General Ledger accounts; and analyze financial data.
+ Reconcile claims check runs
+ Assist the health plans by working through issues with provider payments (voiding/reissuing claims payments, settlement agreements, special check runs, etc)
+ Coordinate Accounts Payable payments and review GL coding
+ Reconcile our bank accounts
+ Work on 1099's at tax time, and the annual unclaimed property cycle
+ Compile information for audit requests (annual, but also year-round)
+ At end month, the A2 books journal entries and prepares reconciliations for most of our expense accruals and monthly cash activity.
**Education/Experience:** Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience. **2+ years of accounting experience** .
**License/Certification:** CPA preferred.

MicroSoft Office
High level excel skills are a must: pivot tables, vlookups, hlookups, etc.
Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
