As a Cook at Meadowview of Johnston, you can use your skills to create delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. As a  Culinary Assistants at Meadowview of Johnston, you serve residents, employees, and family members’ meals. Our Culinary Department is a great group to work with and are valued by the staff and residents alike. There are no late nights in our kitchen!

Position Type:  Full-Time

Shifts Available:

Days 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Including Every Other Weekend)

Wage Range: $17 - 19

Cook/ Culinary Assistant Responsibilities:

+ Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and families.

+ Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.

+ Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.

+ Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.

+ Assist with food preparation and serving meals to residents.

+ Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.

+ Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.

+ Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.

+ Perform other duties as needed.

Cook/ Culinary Assistant Qualifications:

+ 1 year of commercial cooking/food preparation experience required!

+ Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.

+ Excellent customer service skills.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

+ Basic math skills.
