    About the Role:

    As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.

     

    This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Impact a range of customer, operation, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams.

    + Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.

    + Work within broad guidelines and policies to conduct inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.

    + Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that building HVAC/R systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.

    + Review inspections of building and industrial systems including smoke detectors, HVAC, and condensate drain lines to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.

    + Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

    + Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.

    + Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.

    + Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

    + Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.

    + Work within broad guidelines and policies.

    + Troubleshoot equipment failures, determine the best course of action for equipment modifications, and apply your expertise to maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems.

    + Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance on HVAC/R, while also completing maintenance and repair records.

    + Share your in-depth knowledge of HVAC/R systems and broad knowledge of several job subject areas within the function.

    + Explain complex information to others in a straightforward, professional manner, ensuring that team members and clients understand technical details and skills

    + Explain difficult or sensitive information.

    What You’ll Need:

    + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver’s license required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

    + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

    + Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

    + Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

    + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

    + Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

    • CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the [HVAC Mobile Engineer] position is $38.00 and the maximum salary for the [HVAC Mobile Engineer] position is $45.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
