The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

Job Purpose:

Provides support to the Player Development Department by providing guest service to current VIP guest to meet their needs and address their comp requests in addition to marketing to potential new VIP players.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

+ + Telemarketing- Solicit participation in Casino events and promotions through outbound phone calls. Identify inactive and high value Casino guests and drive incremental visits through outbound phone calls. Evaluate play of Casino guests and make appropriate comp decisions. 30%

+ + Retains casino client base by ensuring an excellent guest experience for players while in the casino, either by answering and facilitating casino Player Development calls, or VIPs approaching the VIP desk, determining player value based on analysis of player tracking data, issuing complimentary items based on player value, responding to player needs and requests, promoting Club Sycuan and Player Development promotions to new and existing players, and resolving player issues and complaints, promptly notifying management of guest comments and/or complaints -30%

+ + Provides support to the department by assisting with administrative duties for the Player Development and Marketing departments, evaluate plan of casino guests and make appropriate comp decisions, assisting with reservations to VIP events, sponsored marketing events, hotel stays, updating player information in the CRM, distributing promotional merchandise as directed, and coordinating with the other Casino Hosts, during Player Development promotional days to ensure efficient service, Hosting on and off property events, and acting as a liaison between VIP guests and the Player Development team - 40%

Job Specifications:

Education and Experience:

Essential:

+ + High School Diploma or G.E.D.

+ + 2 years guest service experience

Desirable:

+ + Hospitality experience

+ + Prior Host experience

Skills and Knowledge:

Essential:

+ + Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests

+ + Ability to communicate effectively in the English language

+ + Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignments

+ + Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations

+ + Ability to maintain professionalism and composure

+ + Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions

+ + Ability to perform data entry

+ + Ability to appear for work on time

+ Ability to complete forms and documents

+ + Ability to sit and stand for up to eight hours at a time

+ + Ability to accept constructive criticism

+ + Ability to work in a smoking environment

+ + Ability to maintain confidentiality

+ + Ability to work weekends and all casino shifts (Day, Swing, Graveyard), including Holidays

Desirable:

+ + Knowledge of casino games

+ + Knowledge of MS Office to include Word and Excel

+ + Multi-lingual (Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese)
