Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and machining industry, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be part of the technical support team, providing essential services to customers in the Syracuse, New York area. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset, which will align successfully with the organization.

**Job Title:** Field Service Engineer

Pay Range: $83,000 - $110,000

What's the Job?

+ Provide customers with maintenance, repair, and installation assistance for CNC machine tools, either on location or via telephone.

+ Create and update documentation of technical information and generate ongoing and ad-hoc special reports related to service.

+ Collaborate with Customer Service Engineers to assist in the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.

+ Establish and maintain exemplary communication and customer service relationships with clients.

+ Manage challenging customer situations positively and respond promptly to customer needs while soliciting feedback for service improvement.

What's Needed?

+ Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a technical field is preferred.

+ 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.

+ Experience with various CNC machines, including Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens controls is a plus.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on exceptional customer service.

+ Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
