Job Description

To ensure that all beverage service for banquet bar functions are served on time, according to Omni specifications and standards.Must be flexible for AM/PM hours and availability on Holidays and weekends, Friday through Sunday.

Responsibilities

+ Must have Craft Cocktail knowledge

+ Ensure all bars have necessary items and are set to Omni standards.

+ Prepare and serve beverages during banquet events; assist with food service during banquet events, as needed.

+ Perform all banquet side-work as designated by the Banquet Captain and Manager.

+ Attend to all needs of the guests during functions and function related duties.

+ Report to Banquet management any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of banquet equipment.

+ Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.

+ Attend all designated pre-event meetings.

+ Read and understand BEOs for upcoming events.

+ Complete banquet consumption sheets as designated by the Banquet Captain and Manager.

+ Assist leadership in setting a bar standard and par levels for different events.

+ Complete any other assignments designated by Banquet leadership.

+ Open availability to work PM banquet shifts as a bartender.

+ Banquet server experience is preferred

+ Presentable and excellent customer service and communication.

Qualifications

+ Previous bartending and guest service experience; banquet & hotel experience is preferred.

+ The ability to multi-task in a busy environment, follow-thru on guest requests, ensure guest satisfaction, and work as a team player.

+ Unexpired TIPS or RASP and ServSafe certifications

ENVIRONMENT and POSITION ANALYSIS

+ Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires bending, reaching overhead and squatting. Lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 40 lbs without assistance. Position works in the interior of the hotel, in banquet event rooms and kitchen areas with exposure to humidity, steam and varying temperatures.

+ Exposure to F&B hazardous cleaning chemicals.

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT

+ Bars, pozi pourers, wine keys, ice bins, glassware, bottle opener, various décor items, mixer vessels.
