Description

Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a Senior Software Developer (contract). This position will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering critical components of our client's platform (AWS). Please note, this role is part-time and requires a hybrid work schedule (to be determined based on availability).

You'll be responsible for:

+ Architecture, design, and implementation of microservices across a variety of applications

+ Documentation of technical designs and solution proposals

+ Collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones

+ Testing and code reviews

+ Project management within an Agile environment

+ Mentorship of team members, as necessary

+ Implementation of best practices within CI/CD and containerized applications

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

+ Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science

+ 6 or more years of experience as a software developer

+ 2 or more years of AWS cloud experience

Proven experience utilizing the following technologies:

+ Programming Languages: Ruby, JavaScript, Node.js, Java, Spring Framework, and Python

+ Databases & Messaging: MySQL, Postgre SQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ

+ Scripting & Automation: CI/CD using GitHub

+ Cloud Platform: AWS

+ Linux Platform: On-prem Linux infrastructure and services

**AWS certifications are not required for this position but are a great bonus.
