Description
We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team on a contract basis near Clare, Michigan. This role is vital for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting practices, and driving strategic financial initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage complex financial systems and reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Develop and maintain monthly financial planning and analysis (FP& A) reports.
• Prepare and manage 13-week cash flow forecasts to ensure optimal capital management.
• Conduct internal operational reviews to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate on the development and execution of strategic financial plans.
• Manage relationships with both domestic and international banking partners.
• Supervise month-end close processes, aiming to reduce completion time and improve efficiency.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
• Lead and mentor a team of on-site financial staff, including FP& A analysts, accounts payable clerks, and accounts receivable clerks.
• Utilize Epicor and other business systems to enhance financial reporting capabilities.
Requirements • Extensive experience in cash flow analysis and capital management.
• Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with business systems, particularly Epicor.
• Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP& A).
• Ability to manage relationships with international and domestic banks.
• Experience working with external auditors and ensuring compliance.
• Leadership experience in managing and mentoring financial teams.
• Exceptional strategic planning and organizational skills.
