Are you an experienced accountant with a talent for managing corporate tax compliance and multi-jurisdictional filings? We are seeking a Staff Accountant with expertise in corporate tax, including property taxes, business tax compliance, and liaison responsibilities for business licenses. Responsibilities will include:

+ Manage compliance across numerous jurisdictions, addressing unpredictable deadlines and ensuring timely filings.

+ Stay organized to support peak seasons, especially January and quarterly ends, without compromising work-life balance.

+ Assist in preparing business tax filings for states with gross receipts-based taxes.

+ Accumulate required numbers and data to ensure quarterly return submissions, gaining efficiency through familiarity with processes.

+ Coordinate annual registrations and filings by liaising with team members for business licenses across 25+ states.

+ Balance special projects that may arise based on business needs as part of a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ 2+ years of experience in tax compliance, with a focus on property tax and business tax filings.

+ Strong analytical and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage work across multiple jurisdictions efficiently.

+ Familiarity with accounting/financial software preferred.

+ Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency needed, including experience

+ Excellent communication skills to coordinate with external consultants and internal teams.
