Jennifer Fukumae at Robert Half is partnering with a boutique RIA in Walnut Creek that is actively hiring a Client Service Associate to support their growing client base and advisory team. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a firm that's scaling thoughtfully and prioritizing high-touch service, operational excellence, and long-term development of their team members.

As a Client Service Associate, you'll serve as a key point of contact for clients and play an integral role in onboarding, account maintenance, and ongoing service. You’ll partner closely with advisors, custodians, and internal systems to ensure smooth and accurate client operations. This is a high-impact role with room to grow, hands-on mentorship, and visibility into all aspects of the client relationship lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

+ Serve as the first line of communication for client service needs via phone and email

+ Coordinate account openings, money movements, and maintenance across custodians (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity)

+ Prepare meeting materials, performance reports, and documentation ahead of client reviews

+ Maintain accurate client records and support compliance efforts

+ Assist with client onboarding, transfers, and ongoing requests

+ Support the advisory team on ad hoc administrative and operational tasks

+ Learn the firm’s systems, processes, and client service philosophy with direct mentorship and training

Requirements

What You Bring

+ 1–3+ years of experience in a client service or operations role within a financial services firm (RIA, broker-dealer, custodian, or bank)

+ Strong communication and follow-through with a client-first mindset

+ High attention to detail and comfort working across systems and custodians

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or portfolio reporting software is a plus

+ Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a collaborative team environment

+ Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
