Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Saint Joseph, Missouri. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to lead and optimize accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial processes and a proven ability to manage AP workflows efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Manage coding and approval of invoices in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate regular check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments to maintain efficient payment schedules.
• Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of accounts payable transactions.
• Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support to improve performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
• Prepare and present reports on accounts payable metrics and performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards in all AP activities. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable management or supervision.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, including coding invoices, check runs, and ACH payments.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to accounts payable.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration across departments.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to accounts payable.
