Description
We’re seeking an experienced and driven Senior Systems Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our IT team. In this role, you will take the lead in managing and optimizing our hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring system stability, security, and scalability. This is a critical position with a high level of autonomy and impact across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Administer, monitor, and support Windows-based servers and systems in hybrid and Azure environments
+ Implement and manage Azure services (VMs, ADDS, Storage, Networking, etc.)
+ Oversee system security, patch management, and compliance
+ Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and backup/recovery strategies
+ Automate routine system tasks using PowerShell or Azure CLI
+ Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support application hosting and infrastructure needs
+ Maintain and improve documentation of systems, configurations, and processes
+ Serve as escalation point for Tier 2/3 support issues
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience in systems administration, with at least 2+ years in Azure environments
+ Deep understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
+ Strong experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services
+ Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
+ Experience with backup/recovery tools, monitoring systems, and endpoint protection
+ Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305)
+ Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., ARM Templates, Terraform)
+ Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Intune, and hybrid AD configurations
+ Background in cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks
