As a **Manufacturing Technician 2 (Cables)** with our Launch Vehicles team in Chandler, AZ, your role will be pivotal in supporting missions critical to national and global security.

     

    Our Manufacturing Technicians perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.

    Role and Impact: In the Role You Will:

    + Determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.

    + Assemble aerospace cables/harnesses to specifications, using work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.

    + Work with engineers in conducting experiments.

     

    Due to the sensitive nature of our work this is a fully on-site position; hybrid or remote work is not available. Relocation is not available for this role.

    Your Expertise - Required Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of additional education and/or related experience

    + Experience using work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical manuals to assemble aerospace cables/harnesses to specifications

    + Able to cut wire, crimp contacts, pin connectors, apply shielding, and torque hardware.

    + Able to document actions by completing production and quality verification.

    + Understanding of engineering drawings, instructions, parts lists, and schematics

    + Proficient in the use of hand tools

    Preferred Edge - Nice to Have Qualifications:

    + IPC-A-620 certification

    + Soldering experience

    We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)

    Salary Range: $43,100.00 - $71,900.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
