    Endoscopic Tech – GI Lab Full Time Days

    Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032

     

    Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

    Here’s What You Need

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent required

    + 1 year of GI clinical or hospital experience preferred

    + CNA - Certified Nurse Aide preferred upon hire or

    + MA - Medical Assistant preferred upon hire or

    + EMT - Emergency Medical Technician preferred upon hire and

    + BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly

    + Detailed oriented and good organizational skills

    What You Will Do

    + Assists physicians and nurses with GI procedures

     

    Sets up endoscopic equipment including specific individualized equipment after assessment of patient.

     

    + Professional Accountability

     

    Communicates with the manager or educator for unit if any delay or problems exist.

     

    + Teamwork/Partnership

     

    Demonstrates teamwork and partnership in delivering care in the GI Lab.

     

    + Infection Control / Safety Measures

     

    Follows all safety measures/infection control measures throughout duties assigned.

     

    Operates automatic scope washers and understands the principles of high level disinfection.

     

    + Age Specific/Developmental Guidelines

     

    Performs duties using developmental considerations for age specific to GI Lab.
