Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, or a related field form an accredited college or university
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with college students from different cultural heritages and identities and facilitating the coexistence of people in a culturally diverse community
+ Experience offering students' academic and career guidance, helping them choose a career path
+ Training in advising and related student services for undergraduates in all majors and significantly improving 4-year graduation rates for first-year students and closing identified achievement gaps
+ Experience coordinating advising and programs supporting student retention, including proactive outreach and support to targeted student populations who do not meet established benchmarks
+ Knowledge of retention strategies and data-driven methods of identifying students at risk of not continuing their education
+ Ability to plan develop, coordinate, supervise, and organize programs, activities, and groups
Job Duties and Other Information
+ Reports directly to the Program Director
+ Reshape the First-Year Experience programming to design a transformational second-year leadership program
+ Responsible for directing student support and advising
+ Review, assess and align all undergraduate majors with a guided pathways framework
+ Responsible for training faculty and professional advisors
+ Assist in identifying and building milestones to learning in each academic program
+ Assist the creation of a robust peer mentorship program
+ Plan ways to expand the sense of community within targeted student community
+ Design a plan for regular communication with student population targeted by Title Ill
