    1 - First Shift

     

    Are you the type of person who excels at building teams and solving real world problems? In this role you will lead a team, through innovation, design, development and initial manufacture of new products. We’re looking for individuals who are inventive and not afraid of challenges to provide innovative solutions.

    What You’ll Do

    1. Lead and establish multiple design teams to align with the organizational strategies and objectives to drive key business results.

    2. Use expertise to ensure the department is serving its internal and external customers and meeting defined expectations.

    3. Collaborate cross-functionally to meet product requirements for a specific project.

    4. Leads and delivers on project goals, such as test plans, production preparation plans, and product performance plans.

    5. Utilize continuous improvement mindset to evaluate how to improve product and processes within the area and ensure that the ream works efficiently to achieve goals.

     

    What We’re Looking For

     

    - Four-year college degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five years' related experience, or other college degree (two-year or four-year) with a minimum of ten years’ related experience.

     

    - Working knowledge of engineering fundamentals, including continuous improvement and lean, FEA evaluation, stress analysis, hydraulics, electrical systems, design and manufacturing processes.

     

    - Knowledge of equipment manufacturing process.

     

    - Ability to effectively partner with a project manager to coordinate development activities to release successful products.

     

    Travel- Occasional travel is expected of this position.

    Work Location

    ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
