Join our experienced and dedicated Mainframe Development team. No previous software developer experience is required. If you can provide a hard-working nature, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn, we will provide the training.

    Requirements:

    + Pass Critical Thinking Test with an acceptable score

    + Be willing to work after hours and weekends occasionally (after the 4 month trainee period)

    + Be willing to work remotely, although exceptions are possible

    Job Duties:

    + Attend training sessions, complete training assignments.

    + Be willing to work individually and in team setting.

    + Learn how to enhance existing code, develop new code, and resolve issues (bugs) on the mainframe platform.

    + Acquire associated mainframe tools such as JCL (scripting language for mainframe), Control-M (job scheduling), and Control-D (report viewing).

    + Be an advocate for U-Haul's business teams (learn processes, terminology, and key contacts).

    + Periodically update Azure DevOps work items to facilitate project throughput and management.
