    TITLE: Prevention Workshop Coordinator

    CLASIFICATION (FLSA): o Exempt ü Non-Exempt

     

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Serve as liaison with IMPACT PR and Prevention Workshop Facilitators during program and scenarios implementation. P lan, direct, or coordinate programmatic activities. Oversee the program budget, policies and requirements.

    TASKS AND DETAILED WORK ACTIVITIES:

    + Coordinate with IMPACT PR the implementation schedules and the assignment of Prevention Workshop Facilitators in the implementation of scenarios.

    + Schedule technical assistance and trainings.

    + Complete and deliver documents and programmatic reports.

    + Supervise Prevention Workshop Facilitator’s attendance and ensure they have the materials necessary for scenarios implementation.

    + Assess incidents and coordinate with IMPACT PR Staff the alternatives for handling situations.

    + Serve as a liaison with UWPR, informing and coordinating with IMPACT PR on any issues related to the implementation of the curricula.

    + Responsible for the filing of programmatic, administrative and financial reports and correspondence to UWPR.

    + Perform any other task requested by the supervisor.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority and skill of personnel.

    + Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.

    + Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

    + Identify the developmental needs of others, developing formal educational or training initiatives, such as, coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.

    + Confer with personnel, to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances, or identify and review resources needed.

    + Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules

    + Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    + Master’s degree in social worker, psychology, education or related field.

    + Two or more years of experience working with communities, students or adolescents.

    + Knowledge of principles and methods of curriculum development and design of training.

    + Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

    + Knowledge and proficiency in managing financial resources such as reports and legal documents.

    + Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

    + English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

    + Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

    + Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.

    + Helping and caring for others — providing personal assistance, emotional support, or other personal care to others, such as co-workers, clients, or patients.

    + Provide Consultation and Advice to Others —Provide guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems, or process-related issues.

    + Active Learning — Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    + Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. May reach above shoulder heights or below the waist and lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday and must be able to lift 15 pounds and use proper lifting techniques.
