    Job Description

    The Supplier Enablement Leader is responsible for leading critical supplier transitions, driving qualification processes, and supporting production ramp-up for key aerospace and defense programs. This role ensures supply chain resilience, cost competitiveness, and strict compliance with regulatory and quality requirements. Working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, program management, and compliance teams, this individual plays a pivotal role in sourcing strategy execution.

    Responsibilities:

    + Lead strategic source transitions for complex mechanical, electronics, and engineered systems, ensuring minimal disruption to program schedules.

    + Oversee supplier qualification in accordance with AS9100, ITAR, and customer-specific requirements.

    + Drive ramp enablement activities including supplier readiness reviews, capacity assessments, risk mitigation planning, and schedule alignment.

    + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for new development and sustainment programs.

    + Monitor and report on supplier performance during qualification and ramp-up phases; implement corrective actions where needed.

    + Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal functions including engineering quality assurance, program management, and contracts.

    + Ensure compliance with DFARS, ITAR, and other regulatory frameworks governing defense procurement.

    + Exhibits and leads on the “Fortive 9:” Customer-obsessed, adaptable, delivers results, strategic, leads with FBS, innovates for impact, inspires, exhibits courage, and builds extraordinary teams.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s or PMP a plus)

    + 5-10 years of strategic sourcing, supplier management, or supply chain program management experience in an aerospace/defense environment.

    + Strong understanding of defense acquisition processes, source transition risks, and manufacturing scale-ups.

    + Experience with supplier audits, qualification protocols, and quality systems (e.g. AS9100)

    + Proficient in ERP and other supplier management or business operating systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

    + Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills.

    + Negotiation and contract management experience.

    Pay Range

    The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 89,200.00 - 165,600.00
