Summary
The Principal Solution Architect for Enterprise Work Management Solutions will lead strategic transformation and provide visionary leadership in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise asset and work management systems. This role focuses on IBM Maximo and related scheduling and operational tools, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and alignment with enterprise-wide objectives. As a trusted advisor to solution teams and managers, the Principal Solution Architect bridges technical expertise and business priorities to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that support critical operational functions.
What You'll Do
+ Drive strategic thinking and long-term platform evolution for IBM Maximo and related applications.
+ Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Solution Managers, offering insights on platform direction and proactive improvements.
+ Collaborate with other Solution Architects to ensure alignment across enterprise systems and initiatives.
+ Operate independently, identifying strategic opportunities and driving initiatives with minimal oversight.
+ Lead critical projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, and integrations with scheduling and operational tools.
+ Provide architectural oversight and coordination across cross-functional teams.
+ Mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development within the work management domain.
+ Foster strong IT-business relationships, aligning technical solutions with operational and business goals.
+ Participate in architecture review boards and governance forums as needed.
+ Perform other duties and lead projects as assigned.
What It Takes To Succeed
+ Strong technical design and solution architecture skills.
+ Deep understanding of enterprise asset management (EAM) and work management best practices, especially within IBM Maximo.
+ Ability to distill complex concepts into actionable technical plans and requirements.
+ Proven ability to influence decision-making across multidisciplinary teams.
+ Experience with system architecture methodologies, scalability, and integration processes.
+ Demonstrated success in designing and optimizing Maximo-based solutions aligned with enterprise strategies.
+ Experience developing and executing roadmaps for cloud migrations and modernizing legacy systems.
+ Familiarity with AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in the context of enterprise operations.
+ Strong understanding of data flows and integrations across Maximo modules and other enterprise systems.
+ Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Experience managing and delivering large-scale projects aligned with business and technical strategies.
+ General understanding of cloud architecture frameworks (e.g., Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework).
+ Familiarity with industry architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
+ Proficient in enterprise systems project management methodologies.
Experience
A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required (if no degree, 14 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 14 years).
+ Certifications in ITIL, Microsoft Azure, and Cloud Technologies are preferred.
+ Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate is preferred.
Education
A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
