    As the Manager of Corporate Treasury, you will lead the forecasting of cash flow positions, manage short-term investment portfolios, and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs. You will oversee cash management for insurance operations, maintain key external treasury relationships, and contribute to enterprise-wide financial reporting. This role requires close collaboration with the CIO, CFO, and Director of Finance to effectively manage capital positions and oversee daily cash operations.

    Accountabilities:

    + Works with The Mutual Group (TMG) and CIO to forecasts cash flows positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.

    + Works with CFO, CIO, and TMG to develop & implement a cash management policy that supports efficient operations, strong controls, and ensures appropriate liquidity to satisfy obligations.

    + Manages short-term investments and liquidity to ensure sufficient cash is available for operational needs, aligning cashflows with liabilities and mitigating liquidity risk.

    + Monitors compliance cash management policy through the organization with a focus on insurance operations cash management and payment processes managed by The Mutual Group (TMG). This includes, Premium Billing & Collections, Claim payments, Reinsurance payments & Collectables, Agent Commissions, and general operating expenses.

    + Strategic ownership of bank and other external treasury related relationships for the enterprise. This includes management of custody accounts, FHLB line of credit, collateral requirements, surplus notes, IT leases, and state insurance deposits.

    + Develops processes and systems to determine daily cash position, track and manage intra-company funding and fund transfers to asset managers.

    + Work with CIO and CFO to manage insurance company and holding company capital positions.

    + Works with Director of Finance and CIO to support financial reporting across the enterprise.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or related field or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.

    + Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred

    + Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), preferred.

    + 7 years of Accounting/Finance experience, including supervisory experience.

    + Knowledge of common and complex concepts, practices and procedures within the finance field.

    + Proficiency with MS Office Products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

    + Treasury management skills, general ledger reconciliation skills and knowledge of statutory insurance accounting concepts.

    + Ability to work overtime as needed to complete projects on schedule.

    + Travel as needed to understand or integrate treasury and general ledger functions.

    + Strong written correspondence skills and ability to prepare factual reports which are well-organized and concise, utilizing proper English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

    + Ability to convey clear, concise information to others, using verbal or other appropriate communication techniques.

    + Experience using advanced mathematical calculations/problems (formulas, percentages, spreadsheets, etc) and complex mathematical equations (developing formulas, calculus, etc).

    + Ability to compare data to formulate and prepare budgets, long range goals and reports.
