A caregiver in this position works nights from 8:00PM - 6:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

+ Perform minor preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, structures and systems (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAS, carpentry and/or paint).

+ Document and maintain records of inspection and work performed.

+ Work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

+ High School Diploma or GED

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

+ Work experience in General Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, Mechanical Repair or HVAC OR military experience as a Utilities Man (UT), Builder (BU), Machinists Mate (MM) or a similar role OR successful completion of an accredited trade school and one year of related experience

Physical Requirements:

+ Full body motion

+ Working while bending, stooping, stretching and climbing ladders

+ Dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery

+ Lifting and carrying machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 pounds and/or lifting weights exceeding 100 pounds with assistance

+ Color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded signage and systems

Personal Protective Equipment:

+ Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
