    The Opportunity:

    CACI is looking for an Entry or Junior Level Operational Accountant. This position is a great opportunity to get in with a leading Federal Contractor to work on project control and accounting. The primary responsibilities include revenue recognition and project setup for all contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP). Operational Accountants are assigned projects from beginning to end, so will take ownership at inception, and continue to work on them through contract completion (not including contract closeout).

     

    This position is a remote opportunity with occasional visits to the office in Chantilly, VA.

    Responsibilities:

    + Performs monthly revenue recognition on all contract types, including the correct scoping and pattern of revenue recognition.

    + Completes project setup in Deltek Costpoint, including billing/revenue setup, assigning project funding, and ceilings.

    + Compiles information to prepare corporate reports, primarily unbilled schedules.

    + Continuously analyze billed and unbilled receivables.

    + Works with billing team, Project Managers, and Program Finance Analysts if any questions arise regarding project setup or revenue recognition.

    + Reviews, coordinates, and provides documentation to support various internal and external audit requirements.

    + Prepares, reviews, and records journal entries.

    Qualifications:

    _Required:_

    + Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related subject and 0-2 years of related Accounting or Finance experience.

    + Must have advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.

    _Desired:_

    + Experience with government contracting, Deltek Costpoint, IBM COGNOS, Accounting/Finance degree, billing experience, and knowledge of ASC606

    + Ideally will have a related internship experience.

    $49,900 - $100,000
