Job Description:

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Storage Administrator to join our global infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAN and NAS administration, enterprise storage systems, and be capable of leading code upgrades and health checks across a multi-vendor environment. This role is critical to ensuring secure, high-performing, and resilient data protection and storage services for global business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute storage code upgrades for enterprise-level storage hardware across multiple platforms.

Manage and administer SAN and NAS storage systems from vendors such as NetApp, Dell EMC (PowerMax/Unity/VNX/PowerScale), HPE 3PAR, Pure Storage, or Hitachi.

Monitor, analyse, and report on the daily health status of storage environments.

Troubleshoot storage issues and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for resolution.

Ensure all configurations comply with security, performance, and business continuity standards.

Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and storage lifecycle management.

Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and storage architecture.

Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for storage systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Skill Area Required Experience Description

Enterprise Storage Administration 8–10 years Proven hands-on experience with SAN and NAS systems from NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Pure, Hitachi, etc.

Storage Protocols 5+ years Deep understanding of iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB/CIFS.

Storage Code Upgrades 2+ years Experience leading firmware or code upgrade activities across enterprise storage systems.

Monitoring & Reporting 3+ years Generating, interpreting, and presenting daily health checks and performance metrics.

Incident & Problem Management 3+ years Troubleshooting complex storage issues and engaging in root cause analysis.

Collaboration & Communication – Strong interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional global teams.

Documentation & Compliance – Accurate configuration documentation and audit preparedness.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Industry certifications such as:

NetApp Certified Data Administrator

Dell EMC Proven Professional

HPE ASE Storage Solutions Integrator

Exposure to cloud-based storage technologies (e.g., AWS EBS/S3, Azure Files, GCP Filestore)

Experience with automation/scripting tools like PowerShell, Python, or Ansible

Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is Hourly rate $50.00/hr to $55.00/Hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
