What You'll Do
Join Us as a Strategic Head of HRBP – Principal Asset Management
We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join us a Head of HRBP for Principal Asset Management, a high-impact, high-visibility role that blends strategic influence with people-first leadership. As a trusted partner to our senior and executive leadership team, you’ll dive deep into the business while understanding its drivers, challenges, and opportunities to design and deliver human capital strategies that power performance and unlock growth.
You'll serve as the strategic architect of talent and culture, leveraging your expertise in large-scale change management, transformation, and market dynamics to guide our organization through continued evolution. You’re not just advising from the sidelines - you’re embedded in the business, helping shape its future!
What You'll Do:
+ **Lead with Influence:** Partner directly with senior leadership to solve complex organizational challenges through innovative, people-driven solutions. You'll be the go-to thought leader on all things human capital.
+ **Shape the Future of Talent:** Design and implement end-to-end human capital strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, culture, diversity, and retention — with a strong focus on succession planning and critical roles.
+ **Inspire & Develop Teams:** Lead and mentor a high-performing HR team, fostering growth, ownership, and accountability. Your leadership will energize and elevate HR talent across the board.
+ **Drive Business Impact:** Use insights and analytics to influence strategic decisions, integrating talent strategy into every business conversation.
+ **Collaborate Across Boundaries:** Partner with global HR leaders to align enterprise-wide initiatives with the goals of Principal Asset Management.
+ **Be a Catalyst for Change:** Lead transformation initiatives with confidence and clarity. Help our leaders navigate and thrive through change, while building a culture of agility and innovation.
What You Bring:
+ Proven track record of leading HR in a complex, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment
+ Deep experience in organizational transformation, leadership coaching, and strategic talent planning
+ A bold, curious mindset with a passion for making work better for people and business
+ Executive presence, influencing skills, and the ability to translate strategy into action
+ A natural team builder with the heart of a coach and the drive of a business partner
Who You Are
+ Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive HR experience in large, global financial services organizations required
+ Experience within Asset Management required
+ Proven ability to consult with business partners on people strategies and programs
+ Direct experience managing and influencing teams
+ Strong leadership skills, including the ability to translate vision into action, juggle priorities, improve operations, and build productive relationships while delivering results
+ Strategic mindset with the foresight to identify opportunities, design proactive programs, and align HR initiatives across the organization
+ Excellent communicator capable of simplifying complex concepts, engaging diverse audiences, and driving change
+ Respected business leader with a strong grasp of enterprise dynamics and a collaborative, cross-functional approach
+ Skilled at managing multiple projects, balancing stakeholder needs, and meeting deadlines aligned with strategic goals
+ Creative and adaptable, with a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments
+ Open to innovation and experimenting with new ideas and technologies
+ Strong consulting and coaching abilities, with success in influencing senior leaders and navigating complex stakeholder environments
+ Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10–20%)
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$205000 - $277000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum of three in-office days per week, based in either our Corporate Headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, or our New York office.
