• Triage Nurse

    Decatur County Memorial Hospital (Greensburg, IN)


    + POSITION SUMMARY

    + Reports To:

    + Director of Physician Practices

    + Summary:

    + Provides nursing triage services and health advice for patients over the phone using the Clear Triage software program. Evaluates, assesses, and documents patients' symptoms, questions, and concerns. Schedules in-office and telehealth appointments. Advises patients to emergency treatment when warranted.

    + Work Schedule:

    + Monday through Friday day shift; typical schedule 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    + SKILLS & ABILITIES

    + Education

    + Must be a graduate of an accredited School of practical nursing or ASN, BSN, Diploma Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.

    + Experience

    + Two years related experience required.

    + Computer Skills

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.

    + Experience in navigating EMR to gather information.

    + Knowledge of computers and data entry.

    + Certificates & Licenses

    + Must be a Licensed nurse registered in the State of Indiana. BLS certification required.

    + Other Requirements

    + Multi-line telephone experience helpful. This position requires constant sitting, use of hands and fingers, lifting and carrying 0–10 lbs and pushing and pulling 0–12 lbs.
