    Job Description:

    The Mgr, Sr Training Operations is responsible for building a high-performance warehouse team and developing supporting standardized training. This position will indirectly manage a team of skilled warehouse associates that will be routinely deployed throughout the network focused on operational excellence training and subsequently delivering targeted KPI results within our Warehouse operations. This role will report directly to the SVP & VP of Operations within the Corporate Operations team. This leader must have a proven track record of building high performance teams, indirectly managing team of professional warehouse associates, deep understanding of broadline warehouse operations, compliance, convenience warehouse, operational technologies, experience developing and driving alignment to standardized training/preferred work methods, strong analytics, financial acumen, influencing change, and delivering results.

     

    Accountability to build out, and the management of a high performance cross trained team. This team will enable a robust pipeline of key operational talent pool for progressive growth opportunities within the company.

     

    Responsibility for development of comprehensive & standardized training programs targeting key operational roles within Warehouse utilizing industry best in class platforms.

     

    Conduct training, lead/support workshops and events across the network.

     

    Monitor and inspect quality of service provided through the team’s performance through use of continuous improvement disciplines.

     

    Provide business critical professional and skilled warehouse labor support for OPCO’s in need.

     

    Establish and promote a culture of Operational Excellence across the team, putting forth recommendations and implementing processes consistent with industry best practices.

     

    Ensure that principles are adopted, and Operational Excellence activities are incorporated into the teams tactical plan and goals which are tied to financial objectives. Responsible for establishing and measuring robust KPIs specific to team performance in alignment with organizational goals and ensuring standardization across the network. Accountable for ensuring that strategic business continuity plans are established and followed. Liaison with the leadership team for key business topics, provides timely and value-added insights, operational direction, and updates on all operational excellence initiatives.

    Proven track record and experience recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management indirectly leading team of 50+ professional warehouse associates directly subject to OSHA & Food Safety compliance, and scheduling labor to effectively meet business requirements •High degree of warehouse operations technical aptitude with a demonstrated knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics flows, quality processes and warehouse management •Practical experience leading continuous improvement events and teaching and coaching •Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to teach, coach and persuade • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong planning and organization skills with a high attention to detail •Good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills •Results oriented and able to effectively manage multiple priorities •Self-reliant and motivated to lead change •Ability to disperse information to the company and across the operations network. •Ability to analyze data, review information, and make suggestions to improve performances.
