The MBA Intern – Illinois Medicaid (Part-time, Fall 2025) will contribute as a team member while completing a full-time MBA program. The paid internship may also be eligible for course credit, a capstone, or equivalent depending on the MBA institution’s policies.
The MBA intern role will work with cross-functional stakeholders within the Illinois market as we prepare for the launch of Fully Integrated D-SNP (FIDE) plan in 2026. This individual will focus on driving scalable, innovative initiatives with local market operations, clinical, and finance leaders that improve members health outcomes.

Required Qualifications
+ Enrolled in a full-time Master of Business (MBA)degree program with a graduation between Spring 2026 – Spring 2027
+ Must be available to work part-time, 10-20 hours per week, September 15 – December 19, 2025,from our Chicago, IL office and/or remotely
+ Must not require sponsorship to work in the U.S. now or in the future
+ Minimum of three years of work experience prior to beginning graduate school
+ Demonstrated leadership experience through professional, academic, military, or extracurricular roles
+ Ability to lead teams, drive cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and deliver measurable results in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
+ Have a strong academic history, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA being desired
+ Experience in consulting and healthcare industry, preferably in Medicare and/or Medicaid
+ Professional experience in finance, clinical quality, innovation, social determinants of health, project management, operations, and analytics
+ Strong consultative, quantitative, and analytical skillset; process and results-oriented
+ Digital-savvy, strategic thinker with a passion for improving the patient and customer experience
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact well with all levels of management
+ Able to operate with agility and leverage emerging opportunities
+ Creative thinker with ability to drive ideas into action and who challenges the status quo
+ Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences and health outcomes
+ Be actively involved on-campus and/or in the community
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$37,440 - $96,800 per year
