What we want
The Technology Coordinator ensures the operational readiness and functionality of simulation technology assets and training equipment at the Simulation & Immersive Learning Center. Maintains, troubleshoots, and trains on simulation systems, ensuring uninterrupted uptime for educational events. Collaborates with other Simulation Coordinators to support event setup and with Program Coordinators to facilitate Simulated Participant training, contributing to the center’s mission of delivering high-fidelity healthcare simulation education.

Travel: May require 20% or more travel and occasional work beyond normal hours.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Associate's degree or and equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 1 year of experience in health, project management, communications or a related field.
Required Licenses and Certifications
+ Ability to obtain Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) within 3 years of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in health, project management, or communications.
+ Experience with human patient simulators or audio/visual systems.
+ Experience with augmented/virtual reality systems or inventory management.
+ Two years of experience in simulation, healthcare, project management or communications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
+ Strong understanding of computer technology and IT systems.
+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and software issues.
+ Knowledge of audio/visual equipment and recording systems.
+ Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
+ Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
+ Experience in s imulation and AV equipment
+ Ability to lift/move up to 70 lbs with assistance.
Responsibilities
Technology Maintenance and Support
+ Performs scheduled maintenance, repairs, and updates on simulation equipment, including mannequins, audio/visual systems, and software.
+ Troubleshoots technical issues, coordinating with vendors or the Simulation Technology Specialist as needed .
+ Maintains inventory tracking systems for technology assets.
+ Ensures all systems are operational for scheduled events.
Training and Coordination
+ Trains faculty, staff, and Simulated Participants on the use of simulation technology.
+ Coordinates with Simulation Coordinators to configure equipment for specific event requirements.
+ Supports Program Coordinators by ensuring technology readiness for Simulated Participant training sessions.
+ Serves as the site liaison for technology vendors, recommending new systems as needed.
Event Support
+ Assists with setup and teardown of technology for simulation events.
+ Provides real-time technical support during events, resolving issues promptly.
+ Manages audio/visual recordings and ensures data integrity.
Other Duties
+ Performs additional tasks as assigned, such as supporting other Sim Center sites, contributing to accreditation, or supporting technology upgrades.
