Our client, a leader in public sector procurement, is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their team. As a Contract Specialist, you will be part of the Procurement Department supporting various Client Departments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Contract Specialist

**Location:** Oakland, CA

Pay Range: $49.50 per hour

**Shift:** 8 hours a day, with every other Friday off

What's the Job?

+ Spearhead and take full responsibility for assigned Client Departments' procurement needs.

+ Provide guidance on contracting approaches, methods, and best practices.

+ Prepare and issue solicitation packages for the purchase of goods and services.

+ Monitor contractor performance and assist in resolving contract-related disputes.

+ Maintain accurate contract files and prepare timely reports on procurement activities.

What's Needed?

+ A bachelor's degree in business or public administration or a related field.

+ Four years of experience in procurement, focusing on contract preparation and administration.

+ Possession of a valid California driver's license and an insurable driving record.

+ Knowledge of procurement principles and HUD regulations.

+ Bilingual skills in ASL, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and/or Spanish are a plus.
