Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role requires a strong background in certified payroll processes and compliance with federal and state labor laws.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee certified payroll processes to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act.
• Verify payroll accuracy and maintain detailed records for audits and reporting.
• Ensure employees are compensated in accordance with project-specific wage requirements.
• Manage compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws related to payroll and employee compensation.
• Utilize payroll software systems such as Computer Ease. Foundations or similar tools.
• Provide support in employee relations and resolve payroll-related inquiries.
• Assist with onboarding processes, ensuring new hires are informed of payroll standards and benefits.
• Collaborate with other HR team members to maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
• Coordinate benefit functions and ensure proper integration into payroll systems.
• Stay updated on changes in labor laws and wage standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
+ Process weekly payroll for field and office staff using Computer ease. Will be transitioning to Foundations next year.
+ Maintain employee time records and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
+ Manage wage garnishments, PTO tracking, and benefits deductions.
+ Ensure payroll taxes, direct deposits, and filings are completed on time.

+ Assist management with documentation for terminations, disciplinary actions, and safety reporting.
+ Support front office with occasional administrative tasks as needed.
